Truth be told, I wasn't quite sure how the Golden State Warriors were going to respond following their victory at the NBA Finals. Winning the Finals often paints a target on the victorious team in the following season after their rise to power, or the champions feel invincible and follow that up with a careless play, and little preparation. Not to bolster my confidence in them, the Warriors' head coach, Steve Kerr was to miss the first games of the season, and would be replaced by the interim head coach Luke Walton.
Man, was I wrong.
The Warriors are off to a perfect 20-0 start under Walton, Curry, and the rest of the sharpshootin'. free-flowin', run-n-gun Warriors. Their 20-0 start is the best start in the history of the NBA. Now, I'm not suggesting that the Warriors will go undefeated for the next 3/4 of the season, for the first ever undefeated team. However, if any team could do it, it would be the Golden State Warriors. The Warriors next game is on Saturday, Dec. 5 against the Raptors. GSW survived a scare against Utah last Monday, and are scheduled to play them on December 23rd, probably more prepared than they were last game.
