Chiefs fall in Denver
The Broncos lead the way all night in Denver. Their offensive line did all that Peyton Manning could have asked for and more; Manning, who is nursing an ankle, was hardly touched by the Chief defense. His only TD pass of 9 yards Julius Thomas to was set up by a 70-yard catch and run to Demaryius Thomas. Manning threw 24 for 40 for 323 yards with one touchdown, Kansas City QB Alex Smith went 21 for 45 for 230 yards and 2 touchdowns, both quarterbacks threw no interceptions. The Broncos hand the Chiefs their first loss of the season, putting the two teams in a tie for first place in the AFC West.
