Denver at New England: Overtime Thriller in Foxboro

The scoring started early for the Broncos, a 60-yard fumble return TD was first. At halftime, Denver had a comfortable 24-0 lead over New England. In the second half however, the Patriots scored 31 unanswered points to take the lead. Peyton Manning struck back with an 11 yard pass to Demaryius Thomas for the score to tie it with 3:10 left in the game. Neither team was able to come up with any more points, so the game went to overtime. with under three minutes left in overtime, New England found themselves punting to Wes Welker. The punt landed on the 15 yard line, but the former Patriot had called 'poison' on the ball too late. It one-hopped and hit a Bronco, and New England recovered the muffed punt. From 31 yards, Steven Gostkowski nailed the field goal to win the sudden death overtime 34-31. The Broncos are handed their second loss of the season, but luckily for them, so were the Chiefs today, so the two teams are still tied for first in the AFC.
