Duck's late rally falls short, title hopes over
No. 5 Stanford shutout No. 3 Oregon through 3 quarters, and was up 26-0 going into the fourth. But a fourth quarter Oregon rally made up of a touchdown pass, a blocked field goal recovery for a touchdown, a recovered onside kick, and another late touchdown pass put 20 points on the board for the Ducks. Next, however, was a failed onside kick attempt with just over 2 minutes left. With Oregon out of timeouts, Stanford ran out the clock to end the game, and handed the Ducks their first loss of the season, just as they did last year.
